MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET TOUR: NASHVILLE & MEMPHIS, TN (AREA 6)

1 Wytheville

We depart this morning traveling to Wytheville, VA where we will spend the night.

2 SOUTH BOUND / NASHVILLE

We depart this morning heading south through the mountains of Tennessee on our way to Nashville. Where you will check into the Gaylord Opryland Resort for the next two nights. The resort features a glass atrium and is surrounded by 9 acres of indoor gardens, winding rivers and waterfalls. Dinner is own your own this evening, but you will find plenty of dining options with 15 Restaurants, 4 bars and multiple retail stores.

3 NASHVILLE

Today we will enjoy all that Music City, USA has to offer. This Morning we will be meeting our Singer/Songwriter guide for a Troubadour City Tour. This is an “Only in Nashville” kind of experience. The tour will include Downtown Nashville’s colorful history with drive-by of the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Honky Tonk Row.

After the tour we will visit the new Johnny Cash Museum, featuring a world class collection of items that tells the story of his life. Located just above the Johnny Cash Museum is the Patsy Cline Museum, the museum celebrates the life of the legendary songstress and features hundreds of never before seen artifacts, personal belongings, interactive touch screens, films and videos.

This afternoon we’ll enjoy a guided Ryman Backstage Tour. Built in 1892, the Ryman Auditorium is a National Landmark. Known as the “The Mother Church of Country” the building was once a church. Its stage has been graced by legends from Houdini and Hank Williams to Bob Hope and Bruce Springsteen.

Dinner tonight is included at the Santa Fe Cattle Company. Following dinner, we’ll see the Grand Ole Opry. Each show features an array of performances by new stars, superstars and legends of country music.

4 NASHVILLE/MEMPHIS

We continue to enjoy what Nashville has to offer with a Morning trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the keeper of priceless Country Music Treasures. The self guided tour is a walk through history, one that leads you from the earliest folk traditions to the music that thrills millions of fans today.

Afterwards we make our way toward Memphis stopping by Jackson, TN & visit the Carnegie Legends Museum featuring a large collection of Carl Perkins memorabilia as well as Sonny Boy Williamson, Tina Turner and many more. We will make our way to Memphis for the next three nights where we will stay at the Guest House at Graceland.

5 MEMPHIS

After Breakfast at the hotel, we depart on our Memphis Mojo Tour. This tour features live music while touring this historic city. This afternoon we will visit Sun Studios as well as the Rock & Soul Museum. Dinner is provided tonight at the Blues City Cafe.

6 NESBIT/MEMPHIS

This morning we head into nearby Nesbit, MS and the home of Jerry Lee Lewis. The Lewis Ranch has bee Jerry Less Lewis’ private getaway for decades. This afternoon we return to Memphis to spend the evening at Graceland. Where you will fully immerse yourself in the life and career at the all new Elvis Presley’s Memphis entertainment complex. Thre are more attraction, more great stories – and more to see, hear, taste and explore than ever before. This evening enjoy a dinner at Jerry Lee Lewis’ Café on Beale Street.

7 MEMPHIS/NASHVILLE

After breakfast, we depart on our way to Memphis TN with some stops along the way. The first stop is in Bon Aqua, TN for a tour of the Storyteller’s Hideaway Museum & Farm. This place was used by Johnny Cash to escape from public life. There is an extensive collection of Johnny Cash photos and memorabilia. Lunch is included today while at the farm. After lunch we make our way back to Gaylord Opryland hotel for the night. Tonight you are treated to dinner and a show at Nashville’s Nightlife Theater.

8 Wytheville

This morning we will visit the Alabama Music Hall of Fame where we will learn all about Alabama Musicians and their legacy. This afternoon we continue to Wytheville, VA where we will spend the night.

9 HOMEWARD BOUND

This morning we will rock all the way home taking with us all the musical memories of this rockin’ Quartet.
