The Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the gift of Cherry Trees from Japan. On Saturday we attend the Highlight of the Festival – the Fantastic Cherry Blossom Parade featuring bands, floats and celebrity guests. We watch the parade from our Reserved Seats on Constitution Avenue. If you “Love a Parade” – don’t miss this one!!
The Tour of Our Nation’s Capital includes Arlington National Cemetery including the Kennedy Graves as well as the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We spend some time at the Smithsonian Museums, considered to be “Our Nation’s Attic”. We see famous Watergate, Kennedy Center, The White House, and many other Washington Attractions. We visit the beautiful Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials as well as the Marine Corps Memorial, Iwo Jima. Stops are also made at the Vietnam, FDR, Korean, and World War II Memorials and the newest memorial that is a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
