General Tour Information

Tour Price Includes

  1. Transportation:
    Round trip transportation is provided via one of our own spacious MCI touring Motorcoaches, equipped with a restroom, climate-controlled air conditioning, panoramic viewing windows and public address system.

     

  2. Accommodations:
    Your highly rated accommodations are chosen on the basis of location, cleanliness and dining facilities, as well as the warm hospitality of their management and staff. Room assignments are always made by the motel/hotel in an impartial manner. We work with hotels and resorts that are highly rated for comfort, cleanliness and customer service based on guest’s reviews. Some are more rustic in remote areas or even ‘Mom & Pop’s’ if it enhances the tour experience. Due to the various dietary needs of our travelers, we will not be including as many meals, allowing you more choices and price ranges to fit your budget.

     

  3. Sightseeing:
    All sightseeing tours, guides and admissions are covered in the tour price as outlined in the itinerary.
  4. Baggage Handling:
    Baggage service is provided as indicated in the “tour includes section.” Each passenger may bring one piece of luggage and one carry on bag, which is your responsibility. Due to Motorcoach and airline restrictions, luggage cannot exceed 45 lbs. when packed and 62 linear inches (add up the length, width and height). No hanging bags or duffels. A carry-on bag, small enough to fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat, may be carried on your person. Luggage exceeding these limits will not be accepted. Don’t overpack, it is always wise to travel light. Purchases you make on the trip will likewise be your responsibility. At the end of the trip be sure to gather all your belongings, any items left on the Motorcoach that must be shipped to you will be so done at your expense. Sunshine tours or its carriers is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged articles or luggage.
  5. Tour Director:
    Each trip is fully escorted by a Tour Director whose responsibility includes the handling of all tour details as well as offering genuine attention to the comfort and safety of each passenger.
  6. Meals:
    Meals are covered only where stated in the itinerary

The Tour Does Not Include

  1. PERSONAL EXPENSES
    Valet and room service, telephone calls and all other items of a personal nature are the responsibility of the passenger. Any additional expenses incurred due to flight cancellation or delay, technical faults, weather conditions, political closures, local events, traffic conditions, etc.

Other Important Information

  1. Reservations:
    Because of the limited number of people who can be accommodated on our motor coaches and hotel reservations, it is important that reservations be made at the earliest possible date. Reservations are handled on a first-come basis. Travelers should be in reasonably good health. All tours by design, require walking, climbing steps and some places have inclines. We ask that everyone be able to keep up with the group. Any health concerns requiring any type of special attention or assistance and/or any equipment such as a walker, wheelchair, scooter, oxygen, etc. must be reported when you make your reservation. Sunshine Tours will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers. Sunshine Tours cannot provide individual assistance to tour participants with special needs for walking, dining, or other routine activities. Sunshine Tours requires anyone needing assistance to be accompanied by a physically able companion who will be responsible for assisting them. Sunshine Tours is not responsible for any denial of services by any other suppliers. The Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable outside of the USA. If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding a particular trip, our tour reservationists will be glad to help find the tour that is right for you.

     

  2. Deposits & Final Payments:
    The deposit amount is mentioned under each tour. Final payments are due 30 days prior to tour departure. Please mark your calendar when final payment is due, as we do not send final bills. Also please include a reservation form telling which trip your payment should be applied to.
  3. Charge Cards:
    For your convenience we accept Visa Master Card, and Discover.
  4. Cancellation:

    A. Help us avoid canceling our tours prematurely. We have made reservations for hotels, attractions and other suppliers that require contracts and deadlines for deposits and cancellations. Some of these are 90,60 or 30 days prior to the date of service. If you are interested in a tour, do not wait until the last minute to call us to see if it is going. If too many wait, then obviously we run the risk of having to cancel due to lack of interest. We do offer standby lists for tours that are sold out.

    B. We understand that there are times that you may need to cancel a tour. Our cancellation and refund policies are as follows:

    • One day tours will be given a full refund, however, we would appreciate as much notice as possible, allowing us to resale the space. Overnight Tours will be refunded as follows:

    • A refund will be given if cancellation is received at least 15 business days prior to the departure date, with the exception of Gaylord, New York, fly/drive, Cruises, rails and international tours. On these tours, a refund will be given if received 55 days prior to departure.

    • If your roommate cancels, you are responsible for any additional charges, unless you find a replacement.

    Please allow thirty (30) days to receive your refund when cancellations are made.

    C. We reserve the right to alter our refund and cancellation policy due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts, revolts, wars, natural or man-made disasters, government actions, fires, closure of airport or hotels or technical problems of transport. We reserve the right to refuse or discharge anyone we feel would be disruptive to the trip or harmful to themselves or others. Any expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the traveler and no refund will be given.

    D. Refunds are not given for attractions, meals, etc. which travelers do not participate while on tour, as they have already been paid by Sunshine Tours. No refund will be given for leaving a trip early or arriving late. Unforeseen events and emergencies can arise while on a tour. If you are unable to complete a tour due to sickness, injury or situation at home, we will do all that we can to assist you in making whatever arrangements need to be made. You are responsible for any expenses incurred. Sunshine tours assumes no responsibility for any unused expenses, therefore we do recommend travel protection. (See 11. Insurance)

  5. Itinerary:

    All tours, tour scheduling and pricing are subject to change for many reasons, without penalty to the operator. Sunshine Tours reserves the right to vary itineraries and prices and substitute facilities, hotels or events of equal or better quality if necessary. Time restraints or mechanical failure of equipment beyond our control shall be deemed conditions for change. Our itineraries are included in this catalog. If you have a paid in full, we will send out your final documents such as itinerary with any changes, hotel phone numbers, your designated pick-up point, luggage tags and any other necessary information approximately two weeks before departure. If you do not receive this packet, if any information is not correct, or you have any questions, please call the office as soon as possible. If you plan to meet friends and or family along the way, please call our office to verify times and places of stops, to avoid possible conflicts. Cities and areas listed for breaks/meal stops can change.

     

  6. Events:

    Sunshine Tours shall be under no liability because of cancellation of any event in the event that such game, sporting event, show or other such event is canceled because of weather or any other condition beyond Sunshine Tours’ control.

     

  7. Tobacco Products/Alcohol/Firearms:

    Due to state and federal laws, smoking and the use of tobacco products and alcohol on the Motorcoach are not permitted. However, frequent rest breaks are made and should accommodate everyone. Due to state and federal laws, firearms are not permitted on the Motorcoach. This applies to all Sunshine Tours trips.

     

  8. Seat Rotation:

    Seats are not pre-assigned but are rotated on tours of five or more days by the Tour Director’s instruction in a clockwise direction. This assures equal opportunity for each tour member to view the scenery from different areas of the coach and to meet someone new during the course of the tour. Everyone must rotate seats with no exceptions. The front seat opposite the driver is reserved for the Tour Director

     

  9. Cell Phone Use:

    As a courtesy to your fellow passengers please mute or set your phone to vibrate and limit conversations to breaks and stops whenever possible.

     

  10. Stated, Electronically Distributed or Printed Materials:

    Sunshine Tours reserves the right to make any corrections deemed necessary to any stated, electronically distributed or printed materials, to successfully carry out scheduled tours. These materials will include catalog, internet, itinerary or any other material distributed on behalf of Sunshine Tours. Sunshine reserves the right to cancel tours for conditions beyond our control, including insufficient participation.

     

  11. Insurance:

    All passengers are insured while on the Motorcoach only. Sunshine Tours is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged articles or luggage. We do recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel protection plans can include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. For your convenience, we offer travel protection through Travelex Insurance Services. For more information on available plans or to enroll, go to www.travelexinsurance.com or contact Travelex Insurance Services at 800-228-9792 and reference location number 46-0221. This will let them know you are traveling with Sunshine Tours.

     

  12. Special Needs:

    We will accept non-motorized wheelchairs. However, because of space limitations on the bus, we cannot accept motorized chairs. Passengers with physical limitations who must be lifted or otherwise physically manipulated should plan to bring an attendant with them to assist in such activity. Sunshine Tours employees are not trained to assist persons with mobility impairments and cannot assume such liability.

     

  13. Passport / Real ID:

    A valid United States Passport (no copies) will be required when traveling out of the United States. Be sure that your passport will be valid for at least six months after the return date of the tour. Minors (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult who will be with them at all times. Minors in someone else’s custody must present written authorization, signed before a notary, from the parent(s) or guardian. Beginning October 1, 2020, every air traveler will need to present a REAL-ID compliant license or another acceptable form of identification such as a passport, for domestic air travel. A REAL ID-compliant license is one that meets and is issued by a state that complies with the REAL ID Act’s security standards. A REAL ID (an enhanced license) can be obtained at your local DMV.

     

  14. Responsibility:

    Sunshine Tours, Inc. acts as agent only for vendors in making arrangements for all services and non-transportation services (including but not limited to hotels/motels, restaurants, sightseeing and admissions) sold or arranged by it; and as selling agent assumes no responsibility and shall not be held responsible for any injuries, loss, (including but not limited to loss or damage to baggage or property), damage, strikes, political unrests, riots, acts of God, war, inconvenience, delays, or any additional costs due to any cause whatsoever. Sunshine Tours reserves the right to decline, to accept, or remove any person as a member of a tour whether before or after the commencement of the tour and also reserves the rights without notice to change the arrangements or cancel a tour should conditions require such change or cancellation. If a change is made for whatever reason, in events or attractions, as stated in the itinerary, a similar or better event or attraction will be substituted. Neither Sunshine Tours or the Property Owner will assume any responsibility for any vehicle parked by a Tour Participant at the Various Pick Up Points.

     

  15. Special Groups:

    Sunshine Tours specializes in groups! The tours we offer are also available for your club, organization or any type of group. We would be happy to put together a special tour for your group including your own departure location, your own tour date and your own special itinerary. Just call our office for more details.

     

  16. Final Tour Information:

    Seven to Ten days prior to departure, you will receive final tour information including your boarding times and location, baggage tags, hotel names and telephone numbers, as well as other pertinent information.

     

  17. Receipt of payment is your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the advertised tour.
