1 PIGEON FORGE / TITANIC
We depart Virginia today and make our way to Pigeon Forge, TN where we will check into our hotel for the next 3 nights. Tonight, you will enjoy a self guided tour of the Titanic Museum where you will be able to touch a real Iceburg, walk the grand staircase and follow the journey of a passenger or crew member who sailed on that famous ship. After our tour, we will make our way to their “secret dining room” where you will be treated to a 1st class captain’s meal.
2 MOONSHINERS TOUR / DOLLYWOOD
We will start our morning as we step into the world of Appalachian Moonshining. We wll be joined by a local guide and taken to the heart of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where we will embark on a scenic trek through the lush forest to learn the stories of daring moonshiners who once roamed those same hills. Afterward, we will make our way to Ole’ Smoky Moonshine where you will enjoy a tour & tasting. We will also make a stop at Dollywood where you will have some time before we treat you to dinner at a local restaurant.
3 SECRET CITY TOUR
We depart Pigeon Forge for the day and make our way to Oak Ridge, TN where we will explore how this town played a pivotal role in WWII and the Manhattan Project. Here we will enjoy a 6-hour guided tour where we will discover the “secret city”. We will visit the Y-12 National Security Complex, American Museum of Science & Energy and Oka Ridge National Laboratory. Enjoy lunch at a local eatery, savoring stories of wartime, innovations and peacetime progress. Tonight, we will make our way back to Pigeon Forge where we will treat you to dinner at a local restaurant.
4 THE ISLAND / HOME
We depart our hotel this morning and enjoy some free time at The Island for lunch and shopping on your own before making our way home with wonderful memories of all Tennessee’s secrets.
