1 AIRPORT TRANSPORT

Our Fly Trips require us to be at the airport very early, therefore we will pick you up by Motorcoach and overnight near the airport.

2 NORTH TO ALASKA/SEATTLE/ BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

This morning we start our Incredible Journey to “The Land of the Midnight Sun” – ALASKA! We travel to the airport where we board our flight to Seattle, Washington. A Motorcoach meets us at the Airport in Seattle, and we head across the Canadian border to British Columbia, to spend the night.

3 CARIBOO HIGHWAY/HELL’S GATE /PRINCE GEORGE

We continue our journey today in the Luxury of Our Motorcoach. We head North to Prince George, British Columbia on the Very Scenic Cariboo Highway. We travel by the Town of Hope and enjoy the incredible Scenery along the Fraser and Thompson Rivers through “Hell’s Gate”. We make many pictures stops today as the Scenery is Breathtaking. We spend the night in Prince George, British Columbia.

4 YELLOWHEAD HIGHWAY / PRINCE RUPERT, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Today we travel on the Beautiful Yellowhead Highway. We follow the Skeena River into Prince Rupert, British Columbia to prepare for a different mode of transportation of travel tomorrow. We spend the night in the Town Famous for its many Totem Poles – Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

5 ALASKA MARINE HIGHWAY FERRY / SOUTHEAST ALASKA

You can’t travel through Southeastern Alaska by Road, so our motorcoach goes on the Ferry this morning and we jump aboard for our Cruise through the Beautiful Inside Passage on the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry. Cabins are provided on board the Ferry for your Comfort.

6 INSIDE PASSAGE OF ALASKA

A smooth, gliding ride of 500 miles – so don’t worry about getting seasick in the calm waters of The Inside Passage. We are never out of sight of Land. This Trip is an everchanging panorama of cloud shrouded islands, jagged mountains, spectacular fiords, glaciers passing along, and abundant wildlife. Occasionally, small groups of whales can be seen porpoise riding the pressure wave off the bow of the ship, and a variety of birds – including the Bald Eagle – soar gracefully overhead! We go by the Alaska Towns of Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, and the State Capital – Juneau. We overnight on the ferry.

7 SKAGWAY, ALASKA

This morning we arrive in the Alaska Town made famous as a “Stopping Off” Place on the way to the Klondike Gold Rush! After seeing some of the sights in this very Unique Town, we spend the night in Skagway, Alaska.

8 KLONDIKE HIGHWAY/WHITEHORSE, YUKON

This morning we head up the Klondike Highway to Whitehorse. We cross the White Pass Summit. Many “Stampeders” on their way to the Klondike Goldfields in 1898 chose the White Pass Route. At that time the Northwest Mounted Police were stationed at this Summit to meet every “Stampeder” entering Canada to ensure that each carried at least a year’s provisions. After a very Scenic and Historic ride we arrive in the Capital of the Yukon Territory – Whitehorse. We spend the night in Whitehorse.

9 ALASKA HIGHWAY/KLUANE LAKE /TOK, ALASKA

Today we have our first experience with The Alaska Highway as we travel from Whitehorse to Tok, Alaska. We go by Haines Junction, Destruction Bay, Kluane Lake (The Most Beautiful Lake of the Tour) and proceed on through The Yukon to Beaver Creek. We continue into Alaska to Tok, which is Alaska’s Headquarters for Dog Mushing, to spend the night.

10 FAIRBANKS / NORTH POLE / ALASKALAND / SALMON BAKE

From Tok we stay on the Alaska Highway, stop at the Delta Junction Visitor’s Center, and follow the Tanana River into Fairbanks. We get our first look at the Alaska Pipeline that we have heard so much about. On the way to Fairbanks, we stop by North Pole, Alaska. We arrive early in Fairbanks and get a good look at this strange and exciting City. Tonight, we visit Alaskaland, a theme park covering the past and present of Fairbanks, Alaska’s second largest city. While we are at Alaskaland, we treat you to their famous Salmon Bake and show at the Palace Theater. We spend the next two nights in Fairbanks, Alaska.

11 TOUR OF FAIRBANKS/RIVERBOAT DISCOVERY/MUSEUM & EXPERIMENTAL GARDENS

This morning we enjoy a relaxing river Journey on board the Stern Wheeler Riverboat Discovery. Relax as you learn about past and present life along the river on a four-hour narrated Adventure. We go ashore at the site of an Athabascan Indian Village and walk with them through the Village as they share their culture and traditions! This afternoon we visit the Museum and Experimental Gardens at the University of Alaska. Though the growing season lasts only four months, long daylight hours produce Record Size Vegetables. We spend another night in Fairbanks.

12 DENALI NATIONAL PARK/ TUNDRA AND WILDLIFE TOUR

We leave Fairbanks this morning and travel to Denali National Park. This Park is best known for its wildlife of caribou, moose, wolves, and grizzly bears as well as Denali – North America’s highest mountain at 20,320 feet. The Tanana Indian name for the mountain is Denali, said to mean the “high one”. This afternoon we take a sixhour Wildlife and Tundra Tour deep into the park to see the abundant wildlife. We spend the night near Denali Park. in Healy, Alaska.

13 DENALI/ANCHORAGE CITY TOUR

This morning we leave the Denali National Park Area for Anchorage – Alaska’s largest city. As we travel south, Denali dominates the Northwestern sky as we make our way into Anchorage. On arrival we see the sights of the Area including Ship Creek Salmon Hatchery where Pink, King and Coho salmon jump a spillway in the dam, Earthquake Park showing effects from the major 1964 earthquake, Port of Anchorage, Lake Hood – the busiest float plane airport in the world, University of Alaska, Anchorage, and more. We spend the next three nights in Anchorage. Alaska.

14 WHITTIER/26 GLACIER CRUISE

We leave Anchorage this morning on our Motorcoach for Whittier. On arrival in Whittier, we board the No. 1 Glacier Cruise – the M / V “Klondike” for an unforgettable and leisurely 6-hour Cruise of 26 Glaciers. Lunch is included on Board the “Klondike”. We see the most beautiful part of Prince William Sound. On this Tour we hope to see the world’s most breathtaking glaciers, playful whales, porpoise, seals, bald eagles, and otters. The female sea otters swimming on their backs holding their babies on their stomachs is a sight you will remember forever! This has proven to be the most unforgettable day of the Tour. We spend another night in Anchorage.

15 ANCHORAGE

We spend our last day in Anchorage at leisure to enjoy the sights and shopping available in Alaska’s largest city. We again spend the night in Anchorage.

16 HOMEWARD BOUND/MEMORIES

Today we fly home leaving the Mystery and Beauty of “The Last Frontier”, but our Memories of this Strange and Exciting Land will remain with us forever.
