On Christmas Eve 1895. George Vanderbilt opened Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina for the first time to family and friends. More than a century later, the estate continues this tradition with Lavish Decorations, more than 400 wreaths and bows, 700 poinsettias, miles of evergreen garland and thousands of ornaments, tinsel and beading. On this Tour we will also see a more modern celebration of Christmas as we cross the mountains and join in the Smoky Mountain Christmas Celebration in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

1 ASHEVILLE, NC / BILTMORE HOUSE CANDLELIGHT TOUR / DEER PARK RESTAURANT
This morning we travel into the mountains of North Carolina to Asheville to spend the night. This evening we enjoy a “Christmas Buffet” at the Deer Park Inn on the Biltmore Estate. As the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains, Biltmore House transforms into an architectural model of shining beauty. On our Candlelight Tour of the House we see hundreds of luminaries and the golden radiance of candlelight and firelight illuminating the elegant holiday decor. Tinsel, beads and German-blown glass ornaments twinkle in the glow of thousands of white lights. Choirs, musicians and music from the Banquet Hall organ fill America’s largest home with joy and excitement. We spend the night in Asheville.
2 BILTMORE HOUSE DAYTIME VISIT / SMOKY MOUNTAINS / GATLINBURG / PIGEON FORGE
Today we return to the Biltmore House for a leisurely look at this Magnificent Mansion and its beautiful Christmas Decorations. This afternoon we cross the Great Smoky Mountains and continue through Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge. Tonight we will see a Show in Pigeon Forge. After the show we will take a drive to Gatlinburg to see the miles of Christmas Lights lining both sides of the highway during their “Fantasy of Lights”. We will spend the next two nights in Pigeon Forge.
3 DOLLYWOOD’S SMOKY MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS
Today we visit Dollywood. as well as all of the other sights and entertainment in Dolly’s Park. We enjoy Christmas Shows including shows with your favorites that celebrate the joy of the season. Southern Gospel Christmas will keep your spirits high with your favorite Christmas hymns and songs. After dark, millions of sparkling lights overflow the park into Pigeon Forge.
4 GATLINBURG / CHRISTMAS SHOPPING / HOME
Before heading for home this afternoon we will visit Downtown Gatlinburg to do some last minute Christmas Shopping.
