1 SHENANDOAH VALLEY / BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS

We leave today and make our way through the Shenandoah Valley where we stay in Wytheville.

2 MT. VERNON, IL

We are Westward Bound today! Our Journey begins as we travel through the mountains of West Virginia and the Horse Country of Kentucky making our way to Mt. Vernon, Illinois for the night.

3 JESSE JAMES MUSEUM / PALE HORSE MUSEUM / ST. JOSEPH

We continue west this morning passing through the city of St. Louis, MO. This afternoon we pass through Kansas City before making our way to St. Joseph, MO where we will stop in at the Jesse James Home Museum. The Jesse James Home Museum is the house in St. Joseph, Missouri where outlaw Jesse James was living and was gunned down on April 3, 1882, by Robert Ford. It is a one-story, Greek Revival style frame dwelling that is now a museum in the outlaw’s honor before spending the night in the area.

4 PONY EXPRESS MUSEUM / JOHN WAYNE BIRTHPLACE / DYERSVILLE

This morning we depart our hotel and visit the Pony Express Museum. This afternoon we cross over into Iowa where we will visit the John Wayne Birthplace and Museum. This small town is home to “The Duke” and the 6,100 square foot John Wayne Birthplace Museum. Adjacent to the home, visitors have the opportunity to see the largest diversified exhibit of John Wayne artifacts in existence, including original movie posters, film wardrobe, scripts, contracts, letters, artwork and sculpture, and even one of his last customized automobiles. We will spend the night in Waterloo, IA.

5 FIELD OF DREAMS

This morning we head to Dyersville, Iowa to visit the “Field of Dreams” movie site. Field of Dreams, released in 1989, is a movie that has inspired millions and became an Academy Award nominee for “Best Picture of the Year.” Welcome to this home, this farm, this baseball field, this little piece of heaven on earth. Welcome to this place where reality mixes with fantasy and dreams can come true. After our tour we will make our way to Chamberlain, SD for the night.

6 DIGNITY STATUE / WALL DRUG / DEADWOOD

Today we depart our hotel and head to the Dignity Statue. Dignity is a sculpture on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River near Chamberlain, South Dakota. The 50-foot-high stainless-steel statue by South Dakota artist Laureate Claude Lamphere depicts an Indigenous woman in Plains-style dress receiving a star quilt. Afterwards we make our way to Wall, SD to visit the famous Wall Drug Store! This popular stop is a must for all travelers passing through this small town. After lunch we make our way to Deadwood, SD where we will enjoy a trolley tour of the town as well as some free time on main street. We will overnight in Deadwood.

7 SHERIDAN WYO RODEO

We make our way to Sheridan WY for the Sheridan WYO Rodeo, 2022 will mark the 91st year of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. A much anticipated and celebrated week on the Sheridan summer scene, the WYO Rodeo brings top cowboys and cowgirls from all over the world to compete in four action packed rodeo performances. From bucking broncs to bull riding, rodeo clowns and the hugely popular World Championship Indian Relay Races, the Rodeo is one action-packed ride! Afterwards we overnight in Sheridan.

8 CODY DINNER SHOW

Today we travel through the Bighorns into Cody WY, where we will see the Cody Cattle Companies Dinner Show. The nightly entertainment features award-winning musician Ryan Martin and the Triple C Cowboys band. These incredibly talented performers will keep you clapping for more as they sing, dance, and lots of fun banter between songs. Ryan and his band have entertained thousands of people from around the world and their energy is exceptional every time. After the show we will be staying in Cody for the next two nights.

9 CODY / BUFFALO BILL CENTER

This morning we visit the Buffalo Bill Historic Center. Here we will explore the museums with all the artifacts they have about the west and “Cowboy Country”! We will be stopping for lunch today at the Irma Hotel. Tonight, we attend the World Class Rodeo.

10 YELLOWSTONE / JACKSON HOLE

This morning we depart our hotel and make our way through one of America’s most famous parks, Yellowstone! Yellowstone is home to dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, old faithful. It’s also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope. Tonight, you will be treated to the Bar T5 Chuckwagon Dinner before checking into our hotel in Jackson Hole. for two nights.

11 GRAND TETON / JACKSON HOLE RODEO

Today we travel into Grand Teton National Park, rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands as a monument to the people who fought to protect it. This afternoon we head back to Jackson Hole to attend the Jackson Hole Rodeo. After the show we return to the hotel for the night.

12 DUBOIS, WY / BIG HORN INTERPRETIVE CENTER / CHEYENNE

Today we travel to Dubois, Wyoming where we will visit the big horn sheep interpretive center. This 2,775-square-foot interpretive center is dedicated to public education about the biology and habitat of the rocky mountain bighorn sheep. After our visit we will make our way to Cheyenne, Wyoming where we will spend the next two nights.

13 FRONTIER DAYS

Today we have the full day to enjoy Cheyenne’s Frontier Days! It’s the sounds, the lights, the competition and the experience of a lifetime. Everyone comes for a different reason but leaves a modern cowboy. Bringing western culture to your life with Professional Bull Riding, an unforgettable night show and an overall event you are not soon to forget. Tonight, we will “settle in” for the best cowboy entertainment in the Wild West. We will treat you to Dinner at the Bit-O- Wyoming Dinner Show where you will enjoy a cowboy steak dinner including BIT-O-WYO baked beans, applesauce and some whistle wetter. After a night of music and comedy we will settle back into our Cheyenne hotel for another night.

14 TERRY BISON RANCH / COLBY, KS

This morning we take a short ride to Terry Bison Ranch. This bison ranch strives to provide western adventure, food and entertainment as well as educate guests about Wyoming history and culture. While visiting the ranch today we will treat you to lunch on their antique train all while viewing their bison! This evening we will make our way to Colby, Kansas.

15 DODGE CITY KS

Today we are traveling into Dodge City Kansas where you can enjoy the historic trolly tour of Dodge City. Visit the original locations of the Longbranch Saloon, Gospel hill, the “deadline”, Front Street and so much more. Afterward enjoy the day exploring what all Dodge City has to offer before we travel into Oklahoma City for the night.

16 COWBOY HALL OF FAME / FORT SMITH

We start our day by visiting the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, with more than 28,000 Western and American Indian art works and artifacts. The facility also has the world’s most extensive collection of American rodeo photographs, barbed wire, saddlery, and early rodeo trophies. After we travel into Fort Smith Arkansas, where we will see the Visitors Center and The Hanging Judge Gallows. We will be spending the night in Fort Smith.

17 US MARSHALS MUSEUM / MEMPHIS

This morning we are off to see the US Marshals Museum in Fort Smith. The Mission of the U.S. Marshals Museum is to form a national center of heritage and legacy, disseminate knowledge, and inspire appreciation for the accomplishments of the U.S. Marshals Service. Afterward we travel into Memphis TN for the Night.

18 WYTHEVILLE

We depart our hotel this morning traveling through Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia before stopping in Wytheville for the night.

19 HOMEWARD BOUND

This morning we depart for home feeling like a modern-day cowboy!
