1 MUSEUM OF U.S. ARMY / TREE LIGHTING:

We depart this morning and make our way north traveling to Washington D.C. Our first stop will be the National Museum of the United States Army, located at Ft. Belvoir. This museum celebrates over 240 years of Army history and honor to our nations Soldiers – past, present, and future! This evening we will enjoy the National Tree Lighting show at the National Harbor followed by fireworks. We will spend the night in the Washington DC area.

2 MEMORIAL TOUR / VETERANS DAY PARADE:

We depart our hotel this morning and make our way back into Downtown DC for our Memorials and Monuments tour. On our tour we seethe Marine Corps memorial, Air Force Memorial, National WW II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, FDR Memorial, and the National WW I Memorial. After our Memorial Tour, we will enjoy the Veterans Day parade in Washington D.C. After the parade we will enjoy the Veterans day celebration at Spirit Park. Inside the park we will enjoy live bands, vendors and a true show of American Patriotism.

3 MARINE CORPS MUSEUM / MOUNT VERNON:

After enjoying breakfast at our hotel this morning, we make our way to Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Then it’s on to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Here we will experience what it means to be a Marine and see American History through the Eyes of a Marine! After our visit to the museum, we will visit Quantico National Cemetery. Here we will see the perfectly aligned rows and learn about the two types of gravestones used. We will receive a in depth tour and explanation of the MIAP nonprofit organization and their mission to honor veterans who are no longer forgotten heroes. You will also have the chance to honor these veterans by placing flags next to their graves. Dinner will be provided for you tonight.

4 ARLINGTON / HOMEWARD BOUND:

This morning we check out of our hotel and head toward Arlington National Cemetery where we will enjoy a Tram tour of this hollowed ground. Here we will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Kennedy Graves and much more! After lunch, we begin making our way home feeling patriotic and thankful for all our American Hero’s!
